Fukien Secondary School is a co-educational school. Founded in 1951, Fukien Secondary School is sponsored by the Fukien Chamber of Commerce Education Fund Limited. Since 1991, our school has been operating under the Direct Subsidy Scheme. In 2000, the school was re-provisioned to the new state-of-the-art Kwun Tong campus.
Since 2000, the EMI (English as the Medium of Instruction) stream has been in operation. In order to strengthen the capabilities of the students in using English, all junior secondary classes (S1-S3) have adopted English as the medium of instruction since 2013-2014. Moreover, our school upholds the principle of implementing bi-literal and tri-lingual language policy. We emphasize on developing competencies of students in using Putonghua as well. Therefore, we have also adopted Putonghua as the medium of instruction in all Chinese Language and Chinese History lessons.
