Our school pioneered ‘one school, two streams’ to fully actualize the “bi-literate and tri-lingual language policy” in 2000. Since then, the EMI (English as the Medium of Instruction) stream has been in operation. Starting from 2013-2014, all junior secondary classes (S1 - S3) have adopted English as the medium of instruction. Putonghua is utilized as the medium of instruction in Chinese Language and Chinese History at all levels.

Our students have achieved excellent results in the HKDSE. The rates of attaining level 2 (pass rate) or above and level 4 (credit rate) or above have been higher than those of Hong Kong schools. The credit rates have been over 50%. Over the years, many of our S6 students have achieved distinguished results. Graduates such as LAM Ho Tung (2013), LAI Wan Ying and LI Kin Hei (2014), LIU Munan and LAM Man Ting (2016), LAM Jinn Laan (2018), TANG Shiyu (2020), CHAN Pui Hin Alvin (2021), HEUNG Tin Long and LIN Long Ki (2011) as well as the YIU Yan Long, LI Tin Chak Peter and XIA Yuqian (2023) achieved Level 5** or Level 5* in at least four subjects in the HKDSE and were admitted to the undergraduate programme offered by the Faculty of Medicine of HKU or CUHK. This year, our 184 S.6 students achieved outstanding results in the thirteenth HKDSE Examination. The percentage of students attaining the minimum requirement for university admission (Core Subjects and two electives at 332A+22 or above) was 76.2%, which was also higher than that of Hong Kong schools (37.5%). We proudly announce that our students successfully got 274 Level 5**/5*/5 in total. Among these students, CHOW Chi Kit attained 5** in 5 subjects and 5* in 2 subjects, LEE Chun Yin attained 5** in 4 subjects, SZE Sin Yan attained 5** in 2 subjects and 5* in 3 subjects, WANG Rui and CHEUNG Ka Yi Kelly attained 5** in 2 subjects and 5* in 2 subjects. Our students performed equally excellently in multiple intelligence aspects. The Science Club was awarded the Senior Form Champion and Best Fluency Award in the Hong Kong Greenmech Contest and represented Hong Kong to participate in the World Greenmech in Indonesia during the summer holiday. In addition, the Robotics Team received the 1st runner-up (Ranger Class) in the 2024 World Championship MATE ROV Competition. Furthermore, our students received the Best School Award (4th place) in the Hong Kong Physics Olympiad 2024.

Our teaching staff always strives to provide students with an all-round education. We aim to foster students’ optimal growth in moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic dimensions. In the last school year, students attained more than 1600 awards in inter-school arts, sports and academic competitions. In arts, our school won the Adjudicators’ Award at the Hong Kong School Drama Festival. In sports, our school has been awarded second place in the BOCHK Bauhinia Bowl Award among 200 co-education schools. The girls’ A grade was awarded a Championship in the   Inter-School Badminton Competition. Furthermore, our nine school teams, comprising boys’ and girls’ badminton, table tennis, cross-country teams, basketball and boys’ swimming, remain in inter-school Division 1. The school strives to provide students with opportunities and incentives to develop multiple intelligences.
